Bernkastel-Kues

We had been working so hard moving into our new house and unpacking boxes, that Dad decided we needed a break! He took us on a surprise trip! We didn't know where we were going, but we ended up here, in Bernkastel-Kues.

We hiked up to the ruins of Burg Landshut.

We're right in the middle of the German wine country. Look closely and you can see we are surrounded by vineyards.
