The Feast of Corpus Christi

Fronleichnam This is the procession of the Feast of Corpus Christi which means the "Body of Christ". This is a traveling Mass. The Priest processes through town with the Monstrance, the vessel that holds the Holy Host, and stops at different places to say prayers.
This symbol of Christ "The Lamb of God" is entirely made out of flowers and leaves.

Mom, Peanut and Bubbles sang a song at near this altar with Bubbles' Krabbeln Group ("Crawling Group").

Peanut's New Shirt

Look at her pose!!

This is her new favorite shirt. Well, its not actually new, its a hand-me-down from Lolo but Peanut likes it just the same! Though its way too big for her, she insists on wearing it all the time!!

Bubbles wants a share of the fame too!

Eating Strawberries

This is what happens when you leave the garden gate open while a two year old is outside! Yummy! We can eat strawberrys, cherries and raspberries any time we want!!
(Oh and don't worry Aunt Missy, we were able to get the strawberry stains out of that shirt!!)

Hiking around Manderscheid Castle

In the background is the castle that we went to in Feburary. Remember, the one we accidentally came upon in the fog? Well, last weekend we decided to go see it again and hike around. We parked in the town called Manderscheid then made our way down the cliff. It was hot but there was lots of forests and shade along the path. The ruined castle we visited for the second time was called Oberkyll which means over the Kyll river!

Speaking of rivers, that was Kitty's favorite part. It was naptime so sometimes Kitty would get restless and the only way to calm her down was to tell her to listen and down the cliff she would here the rushing water. I don't know why she reacted to it so much!!
When we got there we climbed to the top of that tower, even Trixie went! (She is scared of a lot of things, but now we know that she's not scared of heights!) Gabby and Kitty liked it also, we should have left Dad so he could have taken pictures of us looking down!

Here's a little visitor we had while we were resting at the gazebo. Come to think of it, maybe we were his vistors.

Frankfurt Galaxy

The Frankfurt Galaxy

We went to a game of the Europian football league...no, not soccer; American football!

It seemed to be a really big deal. It was crazy, there were people from many different nationalities and they all wore purple and orange (the team color) Before game started they didn't let people in the stadium, so they had a big fair outside with games, food and prizes. Gabby and Kitty had a lot of fun!

Weeeeeee! We have never seen anything like this! They put the kids in little crates and roll them down the chute!
Waiting for the home team, Frankfurt Galaxy, to come out on the field!

Playing Berlin Thunder, Galaxy won by a long shot; 17 to 3, I think...
