Lauren's Confirmation

Arch Bishop of the Military Diocese Timothy Broglio came all the way from Washington D.C. to give the Sacrament of Confirmation to Lauren and her 9th -11th grade class.

May 7, Lauren became an adult in the eyes of the Church and she is now a full member of the community and a soldier for Christ.

Lauren took the name of St. Therese of Lisieux. She admires this saint because of how she loved others no matter how they have treated her or how they have sinned. And she helped her neighbors by doing the little things without expecting gratitude. Lauren hopes to follow the example of St. Therese.

Ms. Jessica was her sponsor. Lauren chose her because of her zeal for Christ and the Catholic faith. Ms. Jessica showed her the importance of knowing and proclaiming Catholicism. Her Personality and spirit is a role model for Lauren and she admires her greatly.

Bike Riding to Burg Ramstein

This was a very fun day for the family. Everyone except Bubbles rode their bikes. Peanut was such a trooper! We rode around 7 miles!

Behind dad, you can see the ruins of Burg Ramstein, our destination.

What a view!
Poor Trixie! Seven miles of running is a lot for a ten year old dog! But, she did so well, I'm sure she had fun. BooBaby liked having her along! She slept for two days after that, though :)
Almost there!
Bubbles fell asleep, so Dad stayed at the bottom of the hill with her while everyoneelse trekked up the hill side to the castle. BooBaby led the group up the steepest path she could find (you know, to save time :P) It was really tiring but it was worth it. Here are the girls standing in from of the bridge that leads to the ruins. This is the inside of the castle...or what's left of it. It was really mysterious and beautiful. You can see where the fireplaces, floors and room used to be.

Oma und Opa Fest

The Grandma and Grandpa Festival!

To celbrate grandparents day (in Germany) the kidergarten planned a big festival. All the classes made up their own ways to show off in front of their grandparents. Everyone had so much fun watching the fashion show and pirate play but, of course we loved Penuts and Bubbles' shows the best!

Here is Penut and her class doing gymnastic stunts!

We were amazed at the pyramid some of the kids did!

Bubbles' class did a very cute "Fly in the Buttermilk" dance. Sorry, we didn't get pictures of it!

Here is Bubbles and her friend Leoni in the fly costumes :)

Prague/Praha

Sorry it took so long to get the pictures up!! We've been extremely busy... and forgetful :)
We just got back from a weekend in Prague (or as the European's say, Praha). This is what we saw as we drove over the bridge into the city.
This is the "Dancing Building."

Here's our group, sans Dad and Dominic, pointing to all the fantastic sites.

BooBaby and Lolo in a really neat puppet shops. There were a lot of cute little shops all around this area! Here we are in front of the Charles Bridge. Beyond the bridge the spires of St. Vitus Cathedral rise from the midsts of Prague Castle.

Peanut and her friend, Olivia!

Saint Micheal the Archangel: Patron saint of the military!
