Karfreitag

Karfreitag; Lamenting Friday.
As a tradition, little German boys and girls walk around the villiage cranking wooden noise makers. On Good Friday, the day when Jesus was betrayed and died on the cross, bells are not allowed to ring because it is a day of mourning. So, to alert the villiage that church is about to begin, the children walk around creating a loud clanking noise to make sure we all get to church on time.
