Lauren's Confirmation

Arch Bishop of the Military Diocese Timothy Broglio came all the way from Washington D.C. to give the Sacrament of Confirmation to Lauren and her 9th -11th grade class.

May 7, Lauren became an adult in the eyes of the Church and she is now a full member of the community and a soldier for Christ.

Lauren took the name of St. Therese of Lisieux. She admires this saint because of how she loved others no matter how they have treated her or how they have sinned. And she helped her neighbors by doing the little things without expecting gratitude. Lauren hopes to follow the example of St. Therese.

Ms. Jessica was her sponsor. Lauren chose her because of her zeal for Christ and the Catholic faith. Ms. Jessica showed her the importance of knowing and proclaiming Catholicism. Her Personality and spirit is a role model for Lauren and she admires her greatly.

Thanksgiving in Switzerland

Over Thanksgiving break we went Skiing in Switzerland. We all had a blast learning to ski and the two little ones sledded like there was no tomorrow. The scenic area where we were was absolutely amazing the dry fluffy snow and the majestic Matterhorn tied our trip together as the ultimate Switzerland vacation as anyone would a imagine. It definitely was what you imagine a serene winter vacation in Switzerland.

Yes, that's the real Matterhorn!

The morning of our first trip to the slopes.

Look at that view!
